From what we hear the show was the biggest in history with over 2,000 trucks on display and 30,000 or so spectators coming through the gates!! We had ourselves a nice little spot behind the other American trucks off the main spectator route so were able to relax in the Wearing's caravan in between treks out and about seeing the sites, eating (man the quality and variety of food stalls at festivals has improved out of sight over the last 10 years!!) and going on rides with the kids.
Anyways, could not have asked for more weather-wise, sites-wise and friendly people-wise. Got to meet some real nice spectators as well as other truck operators. Big thanks to Mark, Dave and Grandad John Wearing for their hospitality at the caravan and with helping keep the kids occupied.. looking forward to getting in as many more outings as possible over the next 6 months.
